When you work at Nasdaq, you're working for more open and transparent markets so that more people can access opportunities. Connections can be made, jobs can be created, and communities can thrive. We want all our employees to have access to opportunity, too. That means planning for career growth, ensuring you have the tools you need, and promoting an inclusive culture where we're all valued for our unique perspective.
Here, you will work for a global tech leader committed to breaking down barriers to inclusive prosperity. We see technology as a means to free people up to work together more productively and effectively by centralizing data, analytics, and market intelligence.
Here, we're committed to building a more diverse and inclusive workforce. Not only is it our responsibility to do better, but we also need representative voices to power the fresh thinking that is vital for our business and our clients.
With this position we offer
We're looking for a HR Business Partner to support our Asia region.
As a key strategic business partner, your role will be responsible for enabling the people strategy by providing expert guidance and partnership to your assigned client groups. You will ensure that Nasdaq's people strategy and processes are implemented successfully across Nasdaq's Asia locations and multiple business units.
In partnership with the Organizational Strategy Leaders, you will anticipate and plan for long-term people needs and trends, including but not limited to: recruiting, talent development, and employee relations.
You can expect an autonomous but fast-paced work environment where you are recognized for your results and ability to drive things forward. Every day brings many opportunities to learn and grow and rewards with a global impact we create.
Your roles and responsibilities
Provide HR consultation, strategic guidance, support and coaching to managers and employees, around people programs, policies and tools
Find opportunities and make recommendations to improve upon the delivery and execution of our global projects and initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, diversity, inclusion and belonging etc.)
Partner with managers to prepare for and complete performance reviews, calibration, and compensation recommendations, in alignment with Nasdaq guidelines and policies
Understand your client groups' business plan and identify action plans to enable a people strategy that aligns with and supports the broader business strategy
Act as the voice of the client with the People Team internally ensuring that the position, decision and or direction taken by us remains customer centric and business focused
Partner with managers and employees to handle and resolve workplace issues, and facilitate effective solutions for handling underperformance, workplace investigations, and other critical employee matters
Lead or contribute to special projects, to drive innovation across teams
Lead, support and coordinate employee processes such as onboarding, offboarding, internal mobility, and partner with the Payroll team, at a local level
Prepare required government reports as well as documents for employee claims on statutory and company benefits
Assist in the validation of the employee payfile before uploading
Consolidate and submit the attrition and exit interview report
Work collaboratively in a distributed team, across multiple functions, locations and time zones. Working globally will involve some late night or early calls with work hours flexibility, to accommodate business and personal needs.
We expect you to have
A Bachelor's degree in HR or relevant business field
At least 5 years' experience in an HR business partnering, HR generalist role or highly client-facing HR role
Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to advise and provide constructive challenge as required, and support clients effectively at all levels of the organization
