Provide technical insight, solutions and recommendations especially on packaging & sustainability to deliver Home Care innovation and optimization projects in the Philippines
Delivers Packaging solution for Unilever Philippines - Home Care Innovation plan, cost efficiency, and sustainability agenda according to Brands & scope assignment.
Technical Project Leader (TPL) for local design & deployment of Home Care packaging innovations and activations in the Philippines
Leads implementation of packaging innovation and cost-optimization programmes in PH factories with full cross functional team
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:
TECHNICAL PROJECT LEADERSHIP - PACKAGING
R&D Packaging Development lead - accountable for landing Home Care projects across cross functional team and be key point of contact in Philippines for R&D Packaging expertise
Work with Global and Cluster Packaging teams on landing new packaging technology.
Drive Home Care packaging sustainability agenda for the Philippines
Supports Gross Margin improvement agenda through packaging optimization projects
Lead & collaborate with cross functional team: Manufacturing / Engineering / Supply Chain / Procurement / Quality & technology team on landing projects On Time, In Full
COUNTRY PACKAGING EXPERT & WORKSTREAM LEAD
Drive and support Marketing and Supply chain on technical programmes for alternative material sourcing, optimizing the existing pack portfolio, helping in assessment of problem solving which interface among Packaging and machines.
Develop and maintain relevant technical packaging expertise and applies these to new innovations.
Land packaging innovations to support to the growth ambition of Home Care category in Philippines.
Key contact for Global and Cluster Packaging teams for Home Care packaging in Philippines
Leads implementation of packaging for local jewels and coordinates with regional experts and factory team for design, feasibility and capability inputs
Provide technical guidance to laboratory assistants for day-to-day activities
OTHER DELIVERABLES
Collaborate with other functional leaders to support PH Home Care R&D Capability & Sustainability agenda
Able to clearly understand operating principles and establish technical standards
Able to present findings and rationales clearly to lead to project team key decisions
Able to discuss with Engineering and Production people about packaging & Packing machine interface to find solution and problem solving
Able to understand, assess & mitigate risks relevant to Production and Quality for packaging.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Academic Background: Degree in packaging engineering/chemistry/engineering background or equivalent experience
Relevant Experience:
Preferably with 4 - 6 years in packaging design, engineering, quality or any similar R&D workstreams with technical specifications management especially:
Experience on development flexible packaging is preferable.
Experience in design and digital environment/tools is highly desirable.
Has basic leadership view to support on medium and long term Packaging agenda.
Exposure to Home Care and global & cluster work experience is an advantage.
With experience in project leadership, risk management and stakeholder engagement. Effective in managing external partners and working with virtual project teams.
Skills and Competencies:
Self-management and influencing skills.
Data management and analysis skill, and business process management is required.
Dynamic and agile in leadership skills - able to manage virtual and present teams, able to influence and manage stakeholders, with problem solving and strategy building skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to synthesize data and present appropriately. English proficiency is a must.
