This is a diverse and exciting role with a variety of responsibilities. No day is the same and you will never stop learning. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Service Delivery Manager and other team members and will be responsible for, but not limited to;
Provide L2/3 technical support predominantly remotely, occasionally on-site for all IT services provided to our clients
Support client infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud
Proactive maintenance of server infrastructure and systems
Day-to-day use of Ticket Logging System
Requirements
You will have the following experience and attributes:
Skilled IT Support Engineer with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role (MSP experience preferred)
Outstanding client-facing and team communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience managing and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 solutions
Standard Server experience (2012(r2)/2016/2019)
Experience in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting:
LAN/WAN/WLAN, including firewalls, switches, routers and modems
Common anti-virus applications
Backup and disaster recovery technologies
Experience working with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) highly regarded
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
Independent/autonomous worker, with the ability to self-motivate under pressure
Logical thinker, with an ability to review and understand complex processes and use them accurately
Mentor and assist other members of the Managed Service Team to grow their skills
Takes a creative approach to problem-solving and is not afraid to tackle problems beyond their skill set
Effective multi-tasking with strong time-management skills and the ability to estimate and balance workloads, as well as internal and external expectations
Able to work in high-pressure engagements and with high-profile clients
Ambitious, confident and have a passion for achievement.
Qualifications and Minimum Requirement:
Current technical vendor certifications including Microsoft Cloud across key vendors mentioned above are highly favourable;
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience. Engineering or Computer Science degrees would be well regarded;
Police Clearance is required by some of our clients; Must be willing to obtain a Police clearance
Connectwise Experience desirable
A passion for IT. Always wanting to know and learn the latest and greatest technologies
Ability to work flexible hours including after-hours and weekends on call on occasion if required
Bonus Points
ITIL knowledge
Microsoft Certifications (MCSA or above very desirable)
Other industry certifications
Cisco experience/certifications
