Job Title Health & Safety Specialist
Job Description
In this Health & Safety Specialist role, you will be part of the APAC Market Health and Safety team, reporting to the APAC H&S Leader and based in the country where you can take full use of your expertise and experience in health and safety.
You will be pivotal in improving the Philips H&S performance and reducing operational risks by driving the Philips Health and Safety Program in the Country.
You are responsible for
Monitor and ensure our commercial activities comply with the Country H&S laws and regulations.
Maintain and update applicable EHS licenses and permits.
Deploy and comply with Philips Corporate Safety Standards and APAC EHS Programs.
Providing technical support to commercial projects and managing contractor safety.
Leading and coaching the facilities team on the deployment of health and safety programs, such as safety Gemba, risk assessment, Accident/Incident reporting, LOTO, etc.
Conduct regular training and audits to the offices.
Implement and maintain ISO45001 certifications.
Activities
Collaborate with APAC H&S Leader to implement H&S plans, targets and monitor performance monthly.
Conduct Legal compliance assessment quarterly. Manage regulatory reports, registrations and permits required for our activities.
Assist in the accident investigation for all H&S incidents that happened during our activities.
Implement safety Gemba/Office Fire and Safety inspection regularly.
Deploy Global H&S procedures and conduct briefings to affected parties. Implement and maintain ISO 45001 Certification.
Coordinate and execute the H&S audit program in conjunction with Internal, Corporate and External audits
Manage closure of corrective actions and report compliance status to the H&S Committee and APAC H&S Leader.
Participate or facilitate multidisciplinary workgroups on issues such as emergency response, travel safety, BCM, etc.
Organise and document regular H&S Committee meetings and minutes respectively.
Share best practices, information, advice and H&S requirements in the Country and ensure deployment, support and training when needed.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety and/or Occupational Health
3+ years of experience in Health & Safety management in a business environment / Fresh Graduates are also welcome to apply
Familiar with OSHAS 18001 or ISO 45001 management system, certified internal or leader auditor (preferred)
Familiar with the Country Health and Safety laws and regulations
Strong English Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
Good people management and communication skills through organizational layers
Team player, goal-oriented, proactive and strives to gets things done
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and well organized.
