Job Description
Head of Sales - Health Systems, Philippines (Sales Team Lead)
The Head of Sales is responsible for leading and managing the entire Health Systems Sales team for the Philippines.
This person will directly report to the District Leader, Health Systems Philippines.
Key areas of Responsibility:
Leadership of Direct and Indirect Sales Teams across Philippines
Manages the sales function in the Country to maximize Orders, sales, volumes and revenues for assigned portfolio, across local regions.
Develop clear and achievable strategies, objectives and tactical plans based on segmentation, customer needs / customer centricity and market conditions synchronized with the Business and Market/Region objectives
Ensure sales efforts align with and support organizational strategy, Strategy (both long and short-term), and Business & Market plans
Establishes key sales commercial and operations plans including processes and strategies for: distribution, contracting, business planning, sales comp., forecasting, budgeting, and KPI selection.
Contributes to marketing plan: product prices and sales priorities, and responsible for price realization
Has the authority and accountability to negotiate contracts and prices within the limits of the sales plan and sales policy
Gains and maintains market information and knowledge in order to obtain and maintain the targeted market shares across assigned product portfolio
Ensure un-compromised implementation of the standard Philips business processes, quality standards and standards of business conduct according to Philips policies
Responsible for compliance performance within the district and for reporting compliance issues quality & regulatory functions (for management review purposes).
Drives continuous improvements across the Sales team applying LEAN and related methodologies
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
Minimum 15 - 20 years of experience in National Sales and Business Development preferably in the Health Care Industry, Pharmaceuticals or IT required
Minimum 7-10 years experience in Managing Sales Teams required
Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Strategic Marketing or the equivalent
Excellent knowledge of the local market scenario, competitors and strong network within the industry/customers
Strong leadership competencies, excellent people management skills
Strategic thinking/business planning
Business acumen, channel management experience
Entrepreneurial drive for growth
Strong problem solving skills
