Job Description
This is a pioneer role in the Philippines that will manage the commercial legal needs of the company and supporting and representing Avaloq Philippines' business objectives and operations.
Your mission:
Responsible for people management of Legal, Risk and Compliance colleagues in Manila
Proactively advise and support in all aspects of contracting (license, SaaS/BPaaS and supplier contracts)
Provide corporate legal support (namely regarding employment law)
Qualifications
What you need:
Philippine Bar Passer / Lawyer
More than 8 years of working experience in commercial law, or legal departments of major banking/financial institution/global corporations as a lawyer
Review, draft and/or sign corporate documents, commercial agreements and articles of incorporation as necessary, developing templates for a wide range of legal areas in relation to the company's business operations
Excellent drafting and communication skills (full professional proficiency in English)
Know-how in and experience with civil law (in particular European jurisdictions) commercial contracts would be a strong plus.
A proactive, solution-oriented mind-set with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
Ability to keep oversight and setting priorities
Excellent legal analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and to integrate legal advice and business knowledge, while providing strategic advice regarding risks and welfare.
