Purpose of the position
The Global Process Owner for SAP Roles/users is the governance party for roles attributed to individuals (technical roles, robots) within the Finance related environments. Main focus to be is the SAP ERP/S/4 Hana environment. This can within time also be extended to cover SAP BPC, BW, MDG as well as CW1 Finance.
The GPO is in charge of the SAP role catalogue, ensuring that they are operational suitable and relevant to applicable processes without conflicts. Together with a process special list, reporting to the GPO, new roles and critical role assignments are assessed and provided when possible.
The GPO owns the SAP governance documentation, which outlines all relevant areas of SAP user and role assignment governance.
Furthermore, the GPO is essential to manage the Segregation of duty conflict resolution across the SAP Countries. Very close cooperation with IT compliance, risk and mitigation control owners is required. (this area is in progress of being set up and the GPO is instrumental for this)
This area is critical for the company, as wrong assigned roles can be a root cause for fraud or other critical situations.

Global Process Owner tasks:
Governance of established roles within SAP ERP/S/4 Hana:
Roles and responsibilities
New role analysis and approval (including changes to roles)
Assignment of new roles
SOD Matrix and existing role/user audits
Review of IT Compliance KPIs and taking of relevant actions
Way forward
During 2022 set-up SAP roles/users Segregation of duty governance (based on available design)
Post early 2022 migration to S/4 Hana, review and update current role catalogue
Together with external help review the SAP ERP/S/4 Hana role structure and set up a standard role catalogue for local, regional, international Shared Service as well as Group functions
Optimise the way that role governance is performed within DSV and critical role conflicts are signalled
Extend the scope from SAP ERP/S/4 Hana to additional Finance related environments
Involvement in strategic projects:
IGA set-up will have a significant impact on SAP related role attribution to users
SAP role clean-up
SAP roll-outs requiring all set up of new roles for added company codes
Actively research trends in the role governance area, liaise with other companies on experience to get an outside in view for DSV.
Decision Making Authority
The decision making authority and the roles and responsibility is descriped in more details in the GPO Structure RACI model.
The GPO can accept exceptions needed within the standard process due to local legal requirements and business musts.
The exceptions must be clearly documented and presented to management on a quarterly basis .

Sound understanding of standard Accounting/Finance/Reporting processes
High level and sound and fair understanding of IT-related issues
Understanding of DSV SAP ERP template
Technical understanding on the whole SAP environment (especially S/4 Hana, Fiori)
Good understanding of Segregation of Duty concept and related governance
Experience in design and development of SAP governance - risk and compliance

High level knowledge in Accounting & Finance.
10+ years' experience in Accounting or Finance
High level of SAP technical/functionality knowledge
Experience with previous rollouts/process changes is a must
Experience within corporate environment required
Language skills
English fluent
Computer Literacy
Strong Excel & Microsoft Office capabilities are a must
Strong SAP ERP/ S/4 Hana / BW knowledge
