The Geotechnical Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring all geotechnical aspects of projects in progress to ensure that works are executed in accordance to best practices and standards, within budget and schedule, with utmost focus safety and environmental practices. It includes interfacing and collaboration with project development, , project execution, renewable BUs and internal upward reporting.
Key to this role will be the proper management of the geotechnical aspects of Renewable Energy and related Projects to include:
Planning, organizing, directing and monitoring of the geotechnical activities required for the investigations during Pre-screening, Screening, Pre-development, Development and Execution Stages of Renewable Energy Projects.
Review geotechnical findings, calculations and reports of the geotechnical engineers and 3rd party consultants.
Ensure that there is an adequate, skilled and appropriate Geotechnical Team in place to identify, explore, develop & construct projects using the current resources, and recruiting additional staff and using 3rd party consultants when needed.
Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives.
With at least seven (7) years related experience; 3 years of Leadership Experience; 5 years of Project Experience
Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer
Analytical skills and problem-solving and decision making ability
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD, and Tunnel and Slope Stability software
Good communication and presentation skills
Willing to travel in project sites.
