MAIN TASKS
The Accounting Analyst works with a team under the Finance Shared Services, that primarily
Participate and contribute to monthly and year-end closing process for the General Ledger module
Perform and document controls as described in the closing checklist and indicated in the closing calendar
Perform monthly, quarterly or bi-annual financial reports as part of the service delivery
Ventilate actual expenses using analytical dimensions
Provide explanation or support on general ledger-related accounting inquiries
Implement and ensure respect of financial procedures and guidelines
Perform other related duties as assigned and in support to the team's overall tasks
REQUIRED PROFILE
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Have at least two (2) years working experience in general accounting
Good understanding of financial and analytical accounting
Experience with JD Edwards / Peoplesoft is an asset
Experience with Process Design and Analysis
Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) is an asset
Technically proficient in using Microsoft Office softwares - e.g. Excel, Word
Good command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of the French language is a plus
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
