Responsibilities:
• Prepare and codes general ledger journal entries for month-end closing in accordance with GAAP ensuring accurate and timely results. This includes analyzing data and making assumptions to calculate amounts for journal entries.
• Analyze financial statements monthly and reports to upper management explanations on account balance variances.
• Ensure accuracy in accounting for revenue and assist with proper recording of A/R transactions and cash postings.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations and correct any mis postings noted.
• Prepare and analyze monthly bank account reconciliations and investigate any variances noted.
• Prepare and gather required schedules and requests from outside audit firm for multiple audits.
• Verify all financial information used in monthly bonus and commission calculations.
• Review A/P postings for prepaids and necessary accruals at month-end
• Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis department with SG&A budgeting and forecasting.
• Effectively communicate with internal management and staff at various levels.
• Develop an understanding of the transactional flow through various systems to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review and recommend improvements to processes that will enable more efficient financial operations.
• Ad hoc reports and/or analysis as deemed necessary.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business with Major in Accounting
• Minimum 4 years' experience
• CPA exam candidate a plus
