EDR Accounting & Business Solutions is currently looking for a General Accountant / Bookkeeper to work with one of our Australian clients.
Founded in 2017, EDR launched as a progressive accounting firm based in Manila, albeit not together in an office currently, with our second office in Brisbane. Over the years, we have grown exponentially with the conception of our multiple brands, SUMB (Set Up My Business) and SUMO (Set Up My Offshore).
SUMO is designed to provide offshore staffing solutions for small and medium businesses across Australia at a fraction of a cost to hire locally, from our office in Manila.
SUM[B] is developed to be all-in-one online platform that offers business setup and solutions for new businesses across Australia, taking a range of traditionally cost inhibitive providers and transforming their services into an accessible format.
ABOUT THE ROLE
To provide end-to-end bookkeeping for an Australian client using XERO accounting software, which includes the following tasks, but are not limited to:
reconciling of bank accounts
recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable
arranging of payments as may be required
processing of payroll
posting of monthend journals
preparing of monthend reconciliations and reporting
preparing of IAS/BAS for lodgement
preparing of annual compliance workpaper
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
At least one (1) year of experience in Accounting & Taxation, or similar (Experience in the Australian setting is preferred, but not required)
Degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, or similar (Having a CPA license is preferred, but not required)
Experience in foreign-currency accounts is a huge plus
Experience in XERO accounting software, or similar
Good command in the English language, both written and verbal (Having a strong English comprehension is required)
Strong customer service orientation (Ability to interface with clients is required)
