Job Description
Key responsibilities and duties:
Responsible for operationally supporting GA Analyst or Senior Analyst from GL perspective:
Assist in the monthly closing and reporting as per US GAAP
Assist in the preparation of low-risk Journal Entries based on financial information before posting by Analyst or Sr. Analyst
Collate, prepare, review supporting documents prior to submission of reconciliation by Analyst or Sr. Analyst
Compliance with GM Corporate policies and external regulatory requirements
Support other OpEx and Transformational Projects that may be required by the team
Support Analysts and Sr. Analysts in internal and external audits
Brings any suspected issues (accounting or control related) forward immediately
Identify and execute process improvements to drive quality accounting and compliance
Participation in Short-Term Special Projects (including LEAN/Six Sigma activities)
Perform research and analysis in compliance of both local and US GAAP.
Demonstrate fundamental understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them.
Investigate and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.
Identify non-value added processes within the team and seeks solutions.
Other Administrative Function
Consolidation of presentation materials for KPI/SLA and other standard reporting
Taking minutes of meetings
Support Records Management as per GM ILM Policy
Issuing recurring and standard CMS tasks; and updating workflow
Assist in planning and executing virtual employee engagement activities
