Job Description for 3 roles:
Finance Reporting Analyst 1
The Finance and Risk Shared Services (FRSS) team supports Citi operations globally. FRSS is responsible for managing diverse finance processes such as Financial & US Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Accounting, Balance Sheet Control, Treasury Reporting, Basel, and Data Services & Delivery. FRSS strives to reduce complexity by consolidating and re-engineering end-to-end finance processes globally through data, process and platform standardization. In partnership with Finance, it executes various process transformation initiatives to support Finance's journey to become Best-in-Class Finance.
The analyst will take responsibility for the integrity of the head office reporting process, and for the reasonableness of the various financial head office reports
The analyst will assist in the management of the flow of information needed to monitor, enrich, and influence the business' decision process, and will provide detailed analytical support on head office financial reporting
In addition, the analyst will be providing support in interpreting account changes, maintaining a rigid system of internal controls in the record-to-report process, ensuring compliance of head office reporting requirements, and providing the pertinent financial information reports to facilitate the needs of the business
Responsibilities:
Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
Ensure all accruals and adjustments are accurately calculated and posted within established timelines
Escalate problems or issues related to transactions, processes, reports, or procedures as well as monitor progress/changes and keep senior leadership informed of unusual financial details
Adhere to both regional and global procedures and rules, such as global policies, change control, methodologies, etc.
Work with a team to identify and implement process improvement initiatives or standardizations
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Product Control Analyst1
The Prod Ctrl Analyst I is an entry level position responsible for contributing to efforts that ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the control and support of data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.
Responsibilities:
Analyze information and make recommendations based on data
Select the best pre-defined procedure to resolve issues and seek guidance when necessary
Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Compliance Product Analyst 1
Responsibilities:
Performing monitoring reviews (second line of defense) to detect possible breaches to regulatory requirements or Citi Policies and to escalate accurately and timely to Country ICRM.
Assisting with investigations, reconciliation procedures and preparing routine correspondence.
Assisting with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations.
Researching rules/rule changes and implementing policies, procedures or other controls necessary to comply with the rules.
Creating and maintaining reports for control, tracking, and analysis purposes and ensuring appropriate and secure retention of documents.
Preparing, editing and maintaining Compliance program related materials.
Coordinating, track and time manage policy and training initiatives.
Interacting and working with other areas within ICRM, as necessary.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Finance, Accounting, or any Business related courses
Background / Familiarity in accounting operations
Knowledge on financial and management reporting is an advantage
Ability to demonstrate good analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in MS Excel application
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
Education:
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
