Reviews fixed asset proposals for all new items received from head office and branches
Evaluates validity of requests for fixed asset replacement/purchase and reports noted exceptions
Executes valuation of high value fixed assets in the accounting system
Provides data on book value, replacement cost, warranty of unit requested for disposal
Checks valuation of disposal based on Fixed Asset Disposal Matrix
Checks compliance on Fixed Assets Disposal Policy; advises concerned personnel of the non-compliance on the policies and standard procedures on Fixed Asset Management
Connects with the branches on cyclical count and report any discrepancies
Participates in the account analysis and prepares simple templates to resolve issues noted
Reviews monthly Lapsing Schedule and Roll forward Report and submits the same to the Financial Accounting Manager
Submits Lapsing Schedule to Insurance/Audit Department as requested
Issues Notice to Explain (NTE) to concerned personnel for noncompliance of the policies and standard procedures on Fixed Asset Management
Manages supporting documents on investment properties and other fixed assets covered by long term warranty
Evaluates internal compliance of the section and formulates preventive/corrective actions for the same
Executes distribution of workload in case of absences
Resolves minor issues within the section and reports major issues to the Financial Accounting Manager
Files office supplies requisition for the section on a regular basis and regulates efficient usage of the same.
Accomplishes all other duties that may be assigned from time to time
College graduate with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance
Over 2 years of relevant work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledgeable, or familiar with, MS Office or Google Suite.
