Roles & Responsibilities:
• Performs the normal monthly-end closing procedures of the company related to assets namely depreciation of PPE, amortization of computer softwares/licenses, forex revaluation/translation and other related accounting transactions that may be assigned by the Finance Manager
• Performs further review and verification of source documents and data related to fixed assets
• Prepares the monthly lapsing/depreciation schedules of the company
• Records and monitors the fixed assets of the company for all existing sites
• Performs actual physical asset count in coordination with the asset owners - I.T. and Facilities team
• Ensures the timely and accurate filing of PEZA farm in/out of assets in coordination with Facilities teams
• Prepares the PEZA monthly Economic Zone Monthly Performance Reports (EZMPR) for all PEZA registered sites
• Assist in the processing of other PEZA reportorial requirements such as ITH Validation, ITH Extension, SCO Approval, and PEZA Incentives Certifications
• Assist in preparation of all PEZA Annual Reports and Tax Incentive Management and Transparency Act (TIMTA) Reports
• Assist in the preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Schedules
• Provides required supporting schedules during the company's annual and interim audit
• Respond to ad-hoc requests and reports required by management
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Training & Development
• Knowledgeable of accounting software, preferably Great Plains
• Familiarity on using MS office applications (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Sound knowledge on month-end closing process using computerized accounting system
• Technical skills/knowledge on PEZA reportorial requirements (EZMPR, Annual Reports, ITH Validation& Extension, Farm In/Out, TIMTA)
Work, Time Requirements and Education Requirements:
• 8-hour work shifts, Monday to Friday
• Must be available to work in an extended hour specially during month-ends
• Graduate of B.S. Accountancy with at least two (3) years working experience on specific roles & responsibilities enumerated above
