Objective of function
Roles are divided into five components - Ledger accounting, Financial reporting, management reporting and service and process management. Responsible for daily execution of product and general ledger entries and operate monthly closure procedures. Prepares regulatory reports, Balance Sheet, P&L and perform key controls and quality controls. Assists in creating management information reports, dashboards and other ad-hoc requests. Monitors processes and supports in the preparation of service and process monitoring reports.
Job level description
Has relevant work experience but requires formal training in theories/concepts/basic processes of the function. Responsible for the day to day processing requirements of the function Performs various structured routine operational tasks in a standard work environment. Handles medium complex processes. Is starting to develop knowledge of the internal market and integrates this knowledge into day-to-day activity. Understands the mission and vision of the company and how the department contributes to that. Works under supervision; receives instruction, guidance and direction from a senior team member. Acts in line with ING rules and policies.
Education / level and field of study
 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Equivalent
 Certified Public Accountant
Work experience Professional knowledge:
 Basic understanding of banking knowledge and products
 Knowledgeable on IFRS and IFRS9 and can be trained.
 Understanding of key financial markets and lending products traded in ING, as well as key EU regulations.
 Experience of UAT testing for complex system changes
 Has basic administrative/organizational skills to manage the month-end inter-company reconciliation process for the ledger.
 Ability to work on tasks and manage own time to meet deadlines.
