About the Financial Controller (IFRS 17 Transformation) Role:
In this role, you will play a key role in developing and implementing the new IFRS 17 reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify the IFRS implications specifically for finance operations and impact to financial reporting and management reporting
Direct timely and accurate preparation of financial statement and other related statistical reports in compliance with government and management reporting requirements
Formulate financial planning policies, systems, and procedures for the operating companies and management services company
Ensure preparation of financial performance reports for all levels of management
Oversee the preparation of budget of the operating companies and management services company
Provide upfront leadership in supervising all direct and indirect reports and planning for their career advancement
To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of leading a team, and extensive experience in finance/accounting management.
Key Requirements:
Must be a CPA holder
7 - 10 years of experience in an insurance or financial services environment preferably gained at a Big 4 firm
Demonstrated ability to lead/handle projects of various sizes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
