1. Financial Accounting and Reporting
• Perform accounting processes and controls
• Records journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepares the necessary schedules and analysis on assigned accounts. Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Coordinates with dependencies on confirmation of accruals/supporting documents on assigned accounts.
• Prepares financial reports and other reports deemed necessary, both for internal and external reporting
• Identify and resolve accounting and control issues related to business and process changes
• Participate in cost reduction/improvement teams as requested
• Prepares bank reconciliation reports
• If requested, participate in the mid-year and year-end inventory count (in warehouse or stores in various locations)
• Perform other duties required
2. Tax Compliance
• Prepares timely and accurate tax returns and supporting working papers, and helps in gathering and retaining supporting documentation
• Helps in timely submission of required schedules and analyses required by the BIR (tax audit)
• Identify areas for further improvements; Initiates documentation of new and improved processes
3. Audit Compliance (Financial and Tax)
• Ensures timely submission of required schedules and analyses required by the external audit (statutory audit)
• Identifies potential issues, elevates to the immediate superior and coordinates resolution.
• Identify areas for further improvements; Initiates documentation of new and improved processes
4. Organizational Capability
• Maintains professional accounting skills and knowledge of relevant accounting standards in order to perform the job in the best manner possible.
• Participates in on-going professional development activities as relevant, to maintain and enhance skills and abilities.
1. Work Experience
• At least one-year experience in accounting and finance operations in an organization
• At least one-year experience in tax returns preparation and filing
• Excellent computer skills, experience in accounting software and Microsoft office
• Experience in pharmaceutical/distribution/retail and/or audit firm is preferred
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse team members
2. Level of Knowledge
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• CPA, but not required
• Knowledge on tax rules and BIR deadlines

• Ability to analyze complex financial data and present meaningful information thru P&L Flash report and related schedules
• Knowledge in various reconciliation processes
• Ability to identify deficiencies and gaps in existing business processes affecting Financial Accounting and Reporting and assess accounting implications
• Ability to identify requirements of identified projects within FAR.
• Ability to identify issues and recommend sound resolution
• Ability to validate project testing and documentation vis a vis the day to day operational activities within the unit
• Able to thrive on working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to render extended work hours even on holidays if required
