The Role
As a Financial Accounting Officer, you will handle the financial accounting of the Bank and its subsidiaries and affiliates. Ensures timely and accurate reporting to internal and external parties. Implements changes (new and amended) in accounting standards.
How you'll contribute
Handle and ensure accurate and timely submission of financial statements and external reports of the Group by reference to accounting standards, laws, and regulations for top management and regulators.
Supervise/review financial statement close process using excel spreadsheets for monthly reporting to management.
Ensure regular updates of existing manuals to comply with existing policies.
Handle special projects (e.g. mergers, debt issuance, etc.) by reference to project objectives or work programs requiring controllership expertise.
Handle requirements for internal and external audits by referring to audit requirements schedules/checklists to meet audit timelines and deliverables to regulators.
Evaluate and implement new accounting standards by impact analysis, systems review, and involving applicable units to communicate potential impact to financial position and performance of the bank and to produce financial reports in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in any related field
Have at least 5 years experience in Accounting/Audit/Tax Services, Banking, Leasing/ Financing Institutions
Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Knowledgeable in banking transactions, financial reporting standards, and regulations (SEC/BIR/SEC/PSE).
With strong analytical and project management skills; effective oral and written communication skills; problem-solving skills.
Able to lead a team to deliver required results; keen on details.
