Job Description :
Purpose of the role:
Carry out timely, accurate and compliant Period End reporting process in
BFC and SAP for relevant markets/entities for Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss
statement, Cash Flow, Intercompany.
Prepare and post accruals/adjustments/other required journals to ensure
the month-end results show the clear and fair picture
Make sure Balance Sheet GL reconciliations are completed and reflected
the changes in the business
Complete OH, A&P reports (analyse plan vs actual to support the decision
making
Complete/provide T&E analysis to leadership team
Making sure the day to day tasks are executed according to Diageo policies
and controls, being able to highlight the possible risks to the line manager
Support audit work by providing timely and accurate data/report
Provides first line support to the Team Leader on specific issues/projects
and acts as a deputy of the Team Leader.
Proactively suggests improvements/additional control points to build in and
takes an active part in the implementation and in the follow up.
Qualifications:
University or College degree in Finance and Accounting / CPA
At least 5 years working experience in a multinational corporate
environment, with exposure to some of the following areas:
Financial Accounting / Reporting, and/or Financial Controlling
experience is strongly preferred
Internal / external audit experience and/or SOX is an
advantage
Experience with Shared services process activities is an advantage
Results orientated and capable of working in a deadline driven
environment.
Has customer focus to be able to build excellent relationships with relevant
internal and external customers
General knowledge and experience with SAP
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Hard working personality, flexibility, inquisitiveness, proactivity
Good business English, able to communicate effectively
Experience in working with integrated software system is an advantage.
Audit experience is an advantage.
International (part) qualification (IAS/UK/US GAAP) is an advantage.
Can customize reports in Excel and clear with standard features/functions
Being able to prepare presentation in Power Point
