FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Position Overview
The Financial Accountant role will be primarily responsible for analyzing and providing support for balance sheet reporting/reconciliation for the EMEA region.
This is a dynamic and detail-oriented accounting position, requiring an accounting background, an understanding of general ledger accounting and experience of performing a month end close and an appreciation of SOX controls and processes.
What you'll do at Insight
The financial accountant will be responsible for developing efficient practices to serve business needs.
Review and analyze transactions across the EMEA region to support accounting for revenue and costs, OPEX, cash accounting, inventory, intercompany accounting and accruals and prepayments
Perform balance sheet reconciliations as required
Post journal entries
Handle balances and transactions in multiple currencies and analyze the impact of exchange rates
Revalue where necessary
Assist with internal and external audit requests related to responsibilities
Perform various ad hoc analysis, tasks and special projects as assigned
What you'll need to join Insight
Bachelor's Degree Accounting/Finance
At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role
Strong written and verbal English communications skills
Advanced excel skills
Experience of using SAP is preferred
Strong accounting and analytical skills
Knowledge of US GAAP is preferred
Experience manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data
Able to thrive in an environment characterized by rapidly changing requirements and an ongoing focus on meeting operational objectives
