To perform accounting and reporting activities ensuring the accuracy and consistency of underlying data, and to liaise with external and internal customers to formulate and implement policy
Knowledge
Knowledge of appropriate regulatory/statutory frameworks and how they impact on the insurance sectors is preferred
Good knowledge of relevant software and tools is preferred
Advanced knowledge of Organizational Accounting Procedures
Thorough understanding of Best Practice in Accounting
Extensive Knowledge of General Insurance Terminologies, Accounts and Class of Business
Skills
A high level of numeracy and literacy
Attention to detail
Effective time management skills with the ability to manage priorities to meet strict deadlines
Excellent spoken and written
English is essential
Ability to work well under pressure
Teamwork - able to collaborate and work flexibly with others
Problem solving skills
Good MS Office skills
Strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures
Experience
University degree - must be a CPA
Significant experience in a complex multinational environment (at least 3 years)
Good experience of working with all levels of an organisation, in particular, to be credible to senior management
Good experience of consistent and constructive people management capabilities
Proven experience in taking active accountability for own workload
Insurance experience is desirable
