EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a member of the GFSS in a global accounting role with a specific focus area of expertise, you
will be expected to build expert knowledge as an accountant. In addition, this role offers many
development opportunities on other skills and competencies that will help you shape your future career path as you engage in activities such as global projects, process improvement initiatives, standardization initiatives etc., alongside with your core responsibilities.
We are looking for a Fixed Assets R2R COE member with responsibility for the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing timely and accurate accounting data based on IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment, IAS 36 Impairment of Assets, and IFRS16 Lease Accounting rules.
Verify and monitor correctness of Fixed Asset accounting relevant data.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and build good business relations with key
stakeholders, within GFSS, CFR, LCA, Controlling, GRF, IT, GCS and other internal service providers or global functions.
Ensure that all corporate changes are incorporated into the CoE process, while also contributing to process improvement ideas and/or automation initiatives.
Ensure the legal entities meet the full internal and external audit requirements including SOX for FA Processes.
Support Projects covering FA processes and entities under your responsibility, while also supporting process simplification, standardization and automation across countries and regions with a specific focus on IFRS 16.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Expertise in SAP accounting processes.
Knowledge of IFRS16 or similar accounting rules and principles.
Specialized Fixed Asset Accounting knowledge and experience of the other SAP GFA processes an advantage.
Source to Pay Process knowledge beneficial
Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative team member in both virtual and non-virtual teams.
Dynamic and innovative in problem identification, solution formulation and resolution.
Eager to work in a global, virtual environment.
Strong knowledge of SAP ERP system, especially FI/CO module.
Knowledge about Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX) is an advantage.
Interest in Digital Finance Transformation.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Excel.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Professionally Qualified Accountant.
Advantage if at least 1 year of experience in SAP within the Global Finance & Administration board area with direct involvement in Record-to-Report process, or at least 3 years of experience in SAP under any board areas.
At least 3 years of practical accounting experience (accounting function in company or audit firm).
