Finance ManagerSGS & Co Manila

The position requires knowledge of both Finance and Accounting principles, experience with advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques, and an understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate must display high business acumen and analytical thinking and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
REQUIREMENTS:
BA in Finance/Accounting or Business - MBA a plus
Minimum 8+ years of experience in a similar corporate budgeting and/or analysis role
Highly driven, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative to "figure it out" and own a process through to completion
Must be a team player capable of interacting with all levels of employees and senior management
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to convey information concisely in writing and verbally at an Executive level
Very detail and process-oriented, with the ability to translate data and analysis into coherent information linked to the business "big picture"
Ability to understand and frame complex issues in a consolidated and straightforward manner
Ability to define problems, collect data from multiple sources, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Works independently, effectively managing tasks and tight deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent computer skills - MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborates with Senior Management to provide effective financial management of ongoing operations and projects within the region.
Provides analytical support for long-range strategic planning in the region and ensures local plans are aligned to broader business initiatives and strategy.
Ensures corporate team has full visibility into financial performance and plans/forecasts in the region
Recommends and implements system/process improvements to enhance corporate finance function
Overall management of end-of-the-month closing procedures. Monitor the progress of recording of financial transactions, bank and revenue reconciliation, ensure all the reports will be prepared in an accurate, professional, and timely manner
Works closely with Department Heads in tracking performance vs. budget, monitor variances, and make recommendations to improve performance.
Assists operations to prepare financial estimates for new projects or initiatives.
Liaises with external auditors and tax specialists for annual statutory/special audit requirements, ensure auditor's reports are accurate to reflect the financial status of the Company and completed in a timely manner.
Supervises and provides training to subordinates.
Prepares and report a monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis
Prepares comparative analysis on revenue and expense items and provides an explanation for any variance observed.
Overall in-charge of Cash Management. Checking completeness and validity of disbursements before forwarding to signatories.
Coordinates with tax advisors on various tax-saving initiatives and issues.
Monitors compliance with Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
Monitors business permit application and renewal processes to ensure required permits are in place throughout the year.
Supports the broader organization on special projects, ad-hoc analyses, and requests as needed
