Connected Freight is part of the New Energies Companies Portfolio of Shell and collaborating with a diverse group of "E-Mobility" companies that have a similar north star which is clean our cities from excess cars, traffic and emissions! We do this by lessening the trucks in the road through our supply chain solutions.
We are looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible in ensuring that the overall direction of the Company is in same vectors with the financial strategy, financial controls and issues are communicated to stakeholders in making sound business decisions.
1. Financial Reporting and Compliance
a. Conducts analysis of the monthly General Ledger Closing, and other related financial reports that are submitted to the CFO.
b. Oversees the timely preparation and submission of the Financial Statement including their Compilation Certificates.
c. Oversees the timely filing and submission of statutory payments and taxes.
d. Oversees the timely completion of the quarterly and Annual Audit.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cash Management
a. Prepares the financial forecast of the company and regularly reports this to the country head and to the CFO.
b. Preparation of Monthly analysis of actual vs budget together with the explanation of the movements.
c. Conducts the necessary approval of the financial payment requests, and ensures that they are within the company/department budget.
d. Prepare Cashflow reports and also the cash projection. Coordinates with banks and similar establishments to ensure our cash flow and facilities are well covered both from the company's & customer's point of view.
3. Billing and Collections
a. Act as an independent reviewer and approval of invoices to be issued to the customers
b. Responds to billing questions, verifies discrepancies by clients, and resolves their billing issues
c. Owner of the Receivables Aging and work with the sales and operation team to ensure collection is made from the customers.
d. Maintains a clear trail of approval, verification and process flow of issuance of sales invoices.
e. Processes and keeps track of incoming payments and accounts in compliance with financial procedures and policies
f. Compares billing accounts with accounts receivable ledger in order to ensure that all payments are properly posted and accounted for
g. Prepares report detailing accounts receivable status.
4. Other tasks which may be assigned.
a. Owner of the financial control implemented in the company. Is responsible for reporting findings on the financial internal control to the CFO. Performs yearly review on the process flow and make recommendation for improvements.
b. Provides financial information as requested by the Managing Director including but not limited to suggestions on company improvements, business results and findings.
c. Prepares and presents financial results together with the company Managing Director to the global HQ and shareholders while providing a clear explanation and articulation of the results.
Requirements * BS degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant
5-7 years of work experience; Logistics company experience is a plus
Must be well versed in Tax Laws and Audit principles and process
Knowledgeable in Accounting softwares and ERPs
Proven experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, Cash Management, Payroll, Accounting
Can work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment; Adaptability to changes in dynamic environment - comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments.
Has good communication skills and stakeholder management across country teams; Ability to effectively build relationships across all levels of organization by establishing trust, credibility and adding value quickly.
Has a strong sense of leadership and can be strategic partner of the Leadership Team on issues and concerns
