Microsoft APAC is a Multi Country Region with truly diverse Subsidiaries, this role will be part of the Hub environment that covers New Zealand, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. It is a key enabler of the market IT growth through solid partnership with Governments, Enterprise, small and medium businesses, as well as IT partners and consumer partners of the region. The APAC Multi-Country Finance Team has the responsibility to partner with sales and marketing teams in a number of individual entities within the APAC Region. Microsoft Finance is a truly global finance team and you will be part of the WW Controller Community to make each other great and build on each other.
The New Business Finance manager is the Finance partner to the Specialist Sales (STU) Lead in each of the countries within the Hub. The successful candidate will develop analytical skills aimed at identifying new business opportunities in the cloud space, as well as deep subject matter expertise in the compete space and industry analytics to assess and prioritise market opportunities, customer trends and threats including propensity models.
You must have a growth mindset, act as an entrepreneur that drives business impact, and continuously learn and innovate. You have a capability to actively contribute and build strong collaboration within diverse and virtual teams. You display a can-do attitude and are able to lead projects and processes improvements initiatives autonomously.
Your core responsibilities are:
Drive net new cloud revenue growth across all business segment through:
Identifying white-space opportunities
Building product and segment deep analytics and action insights with a solution lens
Developing and coordinating actions, investments and initiatives until the opportunities have landed and services consumed
Removing blockers as they pertain to the new growth initiatives
Provide compete insights and leverage industry analytics to assess and prioritise market opportunities and threats
Support the STU Leads around financial rhythms, investments, customer engagement and overall segment productivity
Provide country-level insights in customer trends, workloads, solutions and engage relevant stakeholder to drive actions.
Participate in both the Area and WW New Business communities, contributing to projects, share and learn from WW best practise.
Prior experience in a similar finance position
Strong analytical capability and business acumen
Predictive analytics and focus on leading indicators
Industry knowledge is preferred, but not a necessity
Self-starter and entrepreneurial nature
Passion for technology
