PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
This position is responsible for the end to end compensation process for the sales force and payment of commissions due. This includes analysing revenues and costs, preparing statements and monthly reports for the account executives and providing monthly reports to management. In this position, the individual communicates with Controlling, HR, Operations, the sales force, sales management and executive management. This position would also be responsible for ensuring compliance with both the internal and external auditors. During 2021 the tasks of the analysts reporting to this manager are being moved to the Shared Service Centre in Manila, therefore an additional task for this year will be to continue the recruitment and on-boarding in Manila and managing the knowledge transfer and exit of the existing analyst team.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Primary Responsibilities:
Day to day operations and performance management supporting the APJ/GC Compensation CoE calculation teams.
Understand and enforce SAP Global GTM, Quota Crediting Rules, and compensation plans
Ensure accurate and timely compensation payments are being met to the best of the team ability
Support complex compensation areas of disputes/escalations
Serve as lead functional expert liaison for internal & external auditors in those regions.
Manage the migration of team's tasks from existing home countries to Manila.
Support and coaching to two sets of employees, existing and new.
Facilitate adoption of calculation tools
Provide support to Compensation Controlling team on bonus accrual for the regions as needed
Promote an atmosphere and reputation for excellent customer service
May be required to assist teams in fulfilling the below tasks:
Calculate Quota Credit and Commissions
Winner Circle calculations and Accruals
Maintain all commission records for current employees. Establish new employees records and change of status as necessary
Process contracts and applicable revenue recognition deductions in the commission system.
Effectively communicate with various levels of management, responding to inquiries from the sales force and sales management.
Maintain the integrity and efficiency of the sales commission systems
Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis as requested by management
Employee Inquiry and Dispute Handling
Interface with Payroll for payment processing
Test the commission system to ensure the system can handle commission calculations for various company codes and procedures for releasing payments.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
Previous Finance, Accounting, Sales compensation, management experience
Minimum of 1-3 years experience preferred
Ability to collaborate within and outside of immediate operational department
Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and multi-tasking under aggressive deadlines with high degree of accuracy in a complex "matrix" environment.
Proven ability to plan pro-actively, anticipate issues and have excellent problem resolution records with little or no input or assistance. Excellent follow-through.
Dedication to customer/organization success.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
BS Degree, MBA preferred
Proficiency in an accounting software and/or ERP application, SAP knowledge essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office products
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and oral English communication skills required
