Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Group Services Finance manager to assist with overall forecasting and reporting activities for the business units. Including integration with Group FP&A requirements.
Provide 'bottom up' input into budgets and forecasts, working with business stakeholders to balance stretch goals and achievability.
Ensure financial results are prepared and reported in a clear and consistent manner across all business units. Share the reporting on a timely basis with business units in line with agreed timelines.
Own and manage all activities related to raising of I/O codes, purchase order queries, purchase order tracker and management including reviewing the general ledger accrual process prepared by financial control.
Provide necessary support to analyse variances in expenses across the key business areas. Including month end analysis, month end close etc
Assist in solving problems by assisting in analysing issues, identifying potential solutions and testing the viability of proposed solutions;
Draw on 'big' and 'small' data, selecting the appropriate tools to manipulate, analyse and interpret it in sophisticated, audience-appropriate ways.
Ensure close alignment with other Finance Analysts across Commercial Finance to ensure best in class processes are operating.
What makes you qualified for the role:
Tertiary qualifications in a related field, for example Business, Accounting, Commerce
Membership with a professional accounting organisation, EG: CPA or CA
At least 3 years experience in an accounting or finance role in a multinational company
Demonstrated business analyst experience, including influencing decision making and enabling leaders through strategic financial advice
Highly developed problem solving skills, especially in complex, fast paced environments
Strong financial modelling skills and business case preparation.
Ability to utilise advanced visualisation tools to convey insights and build detailed financial analyses.
Strong relationship building capability, at all levels in an organisation
Ability to communicate complex information to non-finance audience, in written and oral formats
