ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking to appoint a Finance Analyst to join our Finance Team, reporting directly to our Finance Manager. This position will involve Treasury, Compliance, and Finance System Administration. This position will help support the Finance Team in operationalizing and improving internal business processes and be a key part of a high performing finance team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Treasury & Banking
Manages day-to-day activities in the treasury function to meet all needs of the company
Manage and prepare end to end Accounts Payable process, including building up new PTP process to suit business
Weekly review of cash balances and providing transfer recommendations for the group across 3 different countries with multiple currencies
Monthly cashflow reconciliation to ascertain movements in both lending and operations
Manage communications with all suppliers and external partners such as banks
Ensures policies and procedures meet BIR and other regulatory requirements/contractual covenants.
BSP reporting monthly
Ensuring all key bank accounts have the correct signatories and approval flows and keeping mandates documented
Short term forecasting of cash needs
LOI & FX spot/hedging preparation with the bank
International transfers, and ensuring timely approvals from authorizers
Coordination for international and domestic delivery of documentation & MC / PDC preparation
Confirming receipt of payments from suppliers and issuing of receipts
Ensuring all treasury related GL accounts are fully reconciled on a monthly basis (AP, accruals, clearing accounts, bank accounts) and a revalued accordingly to the correct currency
Understanding of group debt & equity financing structures
Finance System Maintenance
Ensure all supplier database information is maintained and kept up to date
Oversee user and licence provisioning across the company
Ensure correct FX rates are loaded in on a monthly basis
Maintain Chart of Accounts & Cost Centres
Update and maintain system process notes and documentation
Troubleshoot systems issues as necessary and escalate items appropriately
Financial Reporting and Controls
Month-end - assisting with various reconciliations, journal entries, and inter company reporting in the month-end close process.
Bank reconciliations - helping ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly. Transactions which have not been recorded correctly will require adjustment and the appropriate treatment posted in SAP. Provide the bank reconciliation report to the finance manager on a weekly basis.
Payments - Recording of invoices received from suppliers to ensure that First Circle pays on time and as expected. These will be uploaded onto the accounting software with all details correct for payment. Also preparing monthly accruals to reflect incurred but not invoiced costs.
Identification of weaknesses in the business processes.
Assisting in the annual audit First Circle must undertake.
Taxes & Compliance
Support Finance Manager in ensuring annual compliance is up to date across the group
Complete and revise, as needed compliance policies and to ensure that they remain relevant and up to date
Preparing and filing various taxes where necessary
THINGS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Degree in finance or other relevant area, and preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or studying towards this
3+ year's working experience
Ability to multi-task and prioritise with minimum supervision with a focus on outcomes.
Experience in an internal control & compliance, or accounting role advantageous
SAP experience advantageous
Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Understanding of legal requirements for financial institutions
High level of integrity
Knowledge of various investment types (equity, debt, levered, unlevered)
Understands industry best practice
Experience working with the consolidation of multi-geographic entities, especially in a high growth, rapidly changing culture.
Knowledge of local tax requirements and accounting standards
Proven experience in improving and/or implementing processes and operational ways of working.
