Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
Review project plans, blueprints, and other documentation to accurately estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs.
Create and present detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, and other project expenses.
Identify and quantify potential risks and opportunities that may impact project costs.
Research and analyze market trends, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Prepare and present estimates to clients, including detailed breakdowns of costs and timelines.
Managing bids and proposals from company vendors or contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to secure competitive pricing for materials and services.
Maintain accurate records of actual costs, project estimates, budgets, and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor and track project costs, providing regular updates to project stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Must have a professional and valid PRC license.
Proven 3-5 years work experience as construction estimator and scheduler.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, costs, and project management principles.
Ability to interpret project documents and specifications, identifying schedule risks and developing mitigation plans.
Proficiency in construction estimation software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or similar, as well as scheduling software like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Having an eye for detail.
Strong leadership skills.
