Job Summary:
 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel fabrication projects. This role involves analyzing project requirements, assessing costs, and collaborating with various stakeholders and contractors to ensure profitable and successful project estimation.
 
 Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, senior, estimator, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive and accurate project bids.
 Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or relevant field in Engineering) with minimum of three (3) years' experience in heavy steel fabrication industry
Proven experience as Fabrication Estimator in the structural steel fabrication industry or within the mining sector
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and construction methods.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Strumis software will be highly regarded
