Conduct research to provide customers and fund managers with complete up-to-date and reliable information which may be used as basis for stock market investment decisions.
Examine and explore investment ideas through company visits, interviews with management teams, survey of organizational processes and operations.
Monitor local and international political and economic news which may affect the capital markets.
Compare various securities of a given industry and provides an assessment of their relative quality. Evaluates the current market price of a security in terms of its value as an investment and provides recommendation to customers and fund managers.
Assess how industries are affected by new products, new processes and competition.
Analyze past performance and financial position of companies, dividend records, capital structure and effectiveness of management.
Provide reports, valuations statistics and advice to customers and fund managers.
Education: College graduate of a four-year course preferably in Economics, Finance or related discipline.
Experience: 2-3 years experience in a Research Department of a Stockbrokerage Firm/ Investment House.
Knowledge: Must have sound knowledge of Capital Markets (i.e debt and equity market both local and global), Economies and Politics
Skills: Good Arithmetic/Computational reasoning, clerical perception
