Job Description
1. Ensures compliance with the requirements of PD 1586, RA 6969, RA 8749, RA 9003, RA 9275, their respective implementing rules and regulations (IRRs), and other pertinent rules and regulations.
2. Identifies significant environmental aspects and impacts of the establishment's operational activities and recommend possible mitigating measures in the formulation, preparation and/or review of the Environmental Management Plan and Contingency Plan.
3. Investigates employee/ community complaints concerning exposure to hazardous materials or pollutants.
4. Develops and recommends solutions to eliminate pollution and environmental hazards.
5. Submits clear and concise written reports based on field inspections.
6. Disseminates Right-to-Know information related to environment through training programs and other platforms.
Qualifications
1. BS Environmental Science, BS Chemistry, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer or any relevant field
2. Preferably with 2-3 years experience in environment as Pollution Control Officer
