The Environmental Engineer assists the E&S manager and is
responsible for coordination of environmental monitoring at the
access channel, land development site and borrow area, including
amongst others turbidity monitoring and water quality monitoring.
His/her tasks further include:
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with local environmental
regulations and reguirements, in coordination with E&S Manager;
• Supporting the E&S manager with implementation of environmental
mitigation measures;
• Assisting the E&S manager with environmental audits/inspections;
• Conducting environmental toolboxes and developing toolbox talks;
• Assisting the E&S manager with reporting;
• Provide Environmental inductions to project personnel;
• Execution of environmental monitoring;
• Maintenance of monitoring equipment;
• Liaison with Supervisory project personnel on adaptive management in case of water quality exceedances;
• Responsible for ecological incident reporting;
• Coordination with certified laboratories in liaison with in-house laboratory;
• Supporting liaison government and public/stakeholders including the on environmental monitoring and other relevant matters;
• Assisting verification of environmental management and monitoring to be undertaken by Employer;
• Liaison with HSS for amongst others emergency management, spill
control, safety briefings and any other environmental matters under
HSS responsibility
