POSITION SUMMARY
Provide leadership to the assigned Global ET&MS teams within the Region to support the commercial or enabling function operations as applicable.
Ensure the provision of appropriate management and development of ET&MS colleagues across the Region / markets.
Establish the appropriate organizational design to address the business need, whilst operating within defined budget parameters.
Drive efficiencies and the development of new strategies to support stakeholders and optimize budgets under their responsibility
Develop and drive strong working relationships with the key senior stakeholders in the markets.
Develop strong working relationships with the key regional stakeholders to support the development and execution of strategies, as applicable.
Accountable for leading and participating in global regional ET&MS strategies/initiatives and delivering qualified operations in the Region for the assigned teams.
Ensure that all ET&MS activities are carried out in a compliant manner and in conformance with all Pfizer policies.
Develop and enhance meeting supplier relationships and seek continuous improvement opportunities
Oversee 1 or more markets (cluster)
Provide leadership to the ET&M teams on Meetings & Sourcing - Travel Operations, Management of Travel Providers, Outsource Travel Operations and Corporate Card Administration
Completed essential Training Resources, under Sourcing (mandatory) and Training Courses (25 or more)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
ET&MS Strategy Collaboration and operational implementation
- Evolve the region's operating procedures and ET&M activities (including compliance, spending, logistics, report, vendor sourcing etc) that ensure standardized and innovative way based on CP#304 and CP#102.
- Clarify and launch the global strategy or Center of Excellence (CoE) initiatives in each market in the cluster region
- Ensure compliance across ET&M activities under the boundaries of global corporate policies with close collaboration with Businesses, Legal and Compliance team.
- Review escalated issues and provide more simplified or efficient guidance or solutions to resolve them.
- With and through others, create an environment where innovation is the standard and takes appropriate risks to advance creative or innovative solutions for local meetings and travels to include cost effective options and maximize the efficiency of the meetings held by Pfizer.
- Lead and leverage through ET&M colleagues' capabilities to implement meetings and events supplier strategies according to CP304 and CP 102 and global strategies.
- Manage and update Pfizer meeting, travel and sourcing process, SOPs, and service level requirement
- Ensure Region ET&MS partnerships and collaborations on initiatives that span the organization.
- Have advanced and comprehensive knowledge of Pfizer Meetings and Travel policy (#302, #301), Purchasing Policy & Procedure (#102), Meeting guidelines in specific situation (e.g. COVID 19 pandemic), Return to Travel guidelines, supporting resources and any in Market policies with Meetings and Travel components.
- Act as a main point of contact for ET&MS within the Region, including Travel Operations and Meeting Sourcing Operation.
- Responsible for overall issue management and resolution under ET&M scopes in Region
Sourcing activity and contract negotiation
Form, lead and facilitate cross-functional teams as applicable to execute the sourcing process and plans; enable supplier selection and decision process; lead / facilitate contract development, negotiation, and execution process.
Supplier Relationship Management
Assure appropriate risk management strategies are established to maintain Pfizer's meeting process and travel services
Support escalated supplier performance issues in collaboration with key stakeholders
Ensure the formal vendor management process and tools are in operation for preferred meeting vendors in accordance with guidelines.
Client Engagement and Customer Relationship Management
Interpret internal/external business challenges and best practices to recommend improvements to products, processes, or services.
Utilize market intelligence across the Pfizer business to anticipate opportunities, strategize and support the business in formulating solutions to address changing market needs.
Support Senior Leaders in the Region in the resolution of any meetings/travel related issues.
Effectively network with senior business leaders to build ET&M's profile and engagement on key meeting/travel related strategies.
Business processes and compliance
Ensure each market's Policy and Process Compliance
Continually evaluate the business operational support needs and recommend organizational improvement opportunities and adjustments as appropriate.
Provide oversight for Global ET&M's Business Process and Operations to implement key changes and efficiencies in the meeting/travel processes across the Region.
Ensure local and regional ET&M's operations are executing work in accordance with all relevant Pfizer policy and procedures.
Reporting
Establish appropriate management reporting within Region whilst supporting upward communication to enable effective Global reporting.
People Management and Development
Provide coaching and development for team members through structured process and tools including individual development plans and talent development.
Create a team environment that drives high colleague engagement and adoption of the Pfizer Blueprint.
Utilize Pfizer and Global ET&M's available tools to continuously improve the organizational capabilities of the team including the use of Pulse Survey.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5 + years of Pharmaceutical Sales, Marketing, Operations experience and managing services in the area of commercial operations in one or more relevant marketing and sales operations functional areas
Knowledge of bio pharma sector trends, customer landscape, and competitor trends and actions
Understanding of organizational value models and experience of managing and delivering services across different BUs and/or multiple brands with different approaches and needs
At least 3 + years of experience with Enterprise Travel & Meeting
At least 5 + years of team leadership experience including leading senior level management
Extensive experience leading in global, multi-cultural environments and through matrix teams and ability to engage team members, within own team and across multiple global matrix teams
Strong business acumen and demonstrated flexibility
Sense for pragmatism, prioritization and value-orientation
Demonstrated success in consultative partnering, influence/negotiation; able to build and maintain productive/collaborative relationships
Analytical and conceptual mind set and solution finding approach; outcome-oriented
Proven track record in organizing and leading projects in collaboration with project managers
