JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Making strategy for costing & technical proposal for upstream & downstream.
Detailed reviewing of contract documents in respect of commercial & technical.
Preparing tender, BOQ, Quantity Take-off.
Study drawings, specifications for technical compliance & deviations.
Preparing tender documentation including cost summary sheets, risk assessments and approval documentation.
Submitting completed tender proposals to meet customer deadlines & requirements.
Complete tender follow-up and negotiations.
Take ownership for the various projects assigned
Prepare enquiry document to vendor and subcontractors
Get proposal from vendor and subcontractors and evaluate their proposals
Build and maintain pricing / estimating databases and ensure outturn costs are captured and fed back through the system.
Liaise with supply chain for pricing purposes, develop and maintain relationships.
Provide detailed feedback to supply chain.
Maintain a register of key assumptions within estimates and pricing.
Network with vendors & low-level subcontractors
Complete tender follow-up and negotiations.
Plan for project execution
Communication, Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage a number of tasks concurrently
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Must have an accomplished background in understanding schematic and single line diagrams.
3. Proven experience in a Quotation, Estimation or Project Pricing role in a switchboard manufacturing company.
4. Relevant electrical trade/engineering and quotation preparation experience.
5. Possess a track record in delivering quotes involving MV / LV electrical distribution equipment.
6. Highly organized and systematic, able to meet tight deadlines
7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
8. Ability to work in a fast-pace environment, under pressure and minimum supervision.
9. Able to multi-task effectively, highly organized, with good planning and prioritization system.
