GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair & maintenance of vital equipment and other company electrical facilities during milling operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
1. Graduate of Electrical Engineering and a Registered Electrical Engineer
2. Knowledgeable in conduits, wiring and cable layout
3. Knowledgeable on the use of electrical equipment such as conduit benders, voltmeters, hook-on instrument, analogue and digital testers
4. Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills
5. Proficient in Microsoft Software
6. Must have Two (2) Years relevant experience
NOTE: Salary is negotiable.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF VITAL AND NON-VITAL EQUIPMENT
Carries out the preventive maintenance program of vital and non-vital equipment such as substation electrical equipment, control panels, motor controller and other control devices, AC motors, Milling electrical machines, flour carousel and bran packing machines and all company electrical facilities failure of which can hamper milling operations.
Prepares reports on jobs done which need reviews and final check-up by the Assistant and Department Head.
Assist in the cleaning of control panels and conditioning of electrical equipment and replacement of defective parts such as motor bearing and reconditioning of motor winding during plant shut-down.
Daily routine check-up of mill electrical machineries and equipment during mill operations and maintain flour carousel packing machine to a tolerable output weights. Prepare feedback report and recommendation the Assistant Department Head.
CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
Works side by side with the Plant Electrician during troubleshooting and repair of vital and non-vital equipment used in milling operations
In-Charge in the replacement of defective electrical devices, motors, controllers, breakers and other equipment/parts used during milling operations.
Prepares shift report on logbook for details of all plant troubles and works done.
OTHERS
Carries out job for new installation or renovation to improve milling facilities during mill shutdown
Housekeeping of work area and general cleanliness of electrical shop
Report to Immediate/Department Head within 24 hours any untoward incidents that occurred/witnessed within company premises and/or during working hours that might jeopardize the company and/or employee's operation/reputation
Other related tasks that may be assigned by Immediate/Department Head
