Job Description
Our client, a prominent power company, is looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer. This position will be responsible for overseeing the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems within our power generation facilities.
The responsibilities of this role include but not limited to:
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and develop electrical systems for power generation facilities.
Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance activities on all electrical and instrumentation equipment including Operational Technologies (OT) not limited to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
Conducts condition-based monitoring programs as specified in Work Instructions and input them in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which may not be limited to Maximo.
Ensure seamless integration between electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Ensure compliance with local and international electrical and instrumentation codes, standards, and regulations.
Implement safety protocols and procedures for electrical and instrumentation operations.
Lead emergency response efforts in the event of electrical or instrumentation-related incidents.
Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records, including design specifications, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting reports.
Prepare regular reports on the status and performance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Ensure compliance with contracts, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Requirements
In order to be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
Licensure credentials (REE or RECE) would be highly preferred.
With 2-3 years experience in power plant or in allied industry
Knowledge of PLC programming, DCS systems, SCADA, and other relevant engineering software.
Knowledge and experience in electrical power control system
Experience in fault analysis and resolution
Experience in handling low, medium and high voltage equipment
Familiarity with local regulations and standards for electrical and instrumentation engineering.
