Position Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for Environmental Health and Safety.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Administers company safety, health and environmental programs and monitors compliance.
Advises management on health and safety laws and regulations.
Administers the company's environmental and sustainability management system
Oversees safety inspections and ensures OSHA training is conducted and documented
Oversees environmental compliance inspections.
Monitors and reviews employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to verify compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations. Makes appropriate recommendations for modification and/or inclusion as necessary
Conducts ergonomic evaluations and provides related recommendations throughout the organization as necessary.
Develops and implements OSHA written programs and updates programs as required
Responsible for the annual updating of the COHU PH Emergency Plan, DOLE Reports and quarterly Self-Monitoring Report to DENR.
Co-manages the Emergency Team activities, and drills with the Facility Manager
Plans the operating budgets each fiscal year for Risk Management for safety and environmental accounts.
Conducts safety reviews of Company project and scopes of work
Develops and implements safety, health and environmental communications, notifications, and campaigns.
Ensures employees are trained on personal protective equipment; investigates and reports all accidents and incidents, and issues warnings per disciplinary procedures for violations of company safety and health procedures
Attend to the requirements of the establishment or agency prior to the construction or installation of pollution control facilities including the application and securing of necessary pollution permits and renewal thereof.
Monitor activities pertaining to the installation or construction of pollution source and control facilities with the end in view of ensuring their compliance with the air, noise and water quality standards; the PCO and the head of establishment shall be held responsible for any violations of PD 984 and its implementing rules and regulations committed by establishment where the officer is employed
Supervise the proper operation and maintenance of pollution control facilities of the establishment or agency.
Report within reasonable time to the Department the breakdown of any pollution control facility, and the estimated and actual date of completion/repair and operation.
Act as a Liaison Officer with the Department, he shall keep himself abreast with the requirements of the Department and the latest available technology on the prevention, control and abatement of pollution.
Janitorial Service Provider management:
Monitor the janitorial activities and the assigned daily routines; and sees to it that any special task be properly coordinated prior to the actual conduct.
Coordinate any changes on janitorial work schedules with the Janitorial Leadman or Supervisor and/or to the Agency's Representative.
Other duties as assigned.

Practice the 5S and waste segregation program, and to support the activities on waste reduction, storm drain management, water and energy consumption reduction.
