Project Description
FHI 360/Philippines ( ) through Better Health Programme (BHP) is a 3.5-year project funded by the UK Government's Prosperity Fund aims to reduce Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) burden in the Philippines and improve access to safe, quality care using equitable, ethical and sustainable approaches. The program will accomplish this through the implementation of a set of activities in the following areas: 1) Strategies to Counter NCDs; 2) Digital Health initiatives; 3) Education and Training; 4) Provider Performance Improvement; and 5) Life Sciences initiatives.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Country Technical Lead, the e-Learning Multimedia Technical Specialist will develop and design multimedia content for e-Learning training courses and provide design and technical support for setting up special portals in LGU and academic partner websites. Specific deliverables would be graphic and video content support for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) courses on hypertension and diabetes, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, mental health and health system strengthening courses on conversion of traditional health training to e-Learning, digital health for the Multi-Programme Local Mapping Tool, Health Technology Assessment and creating Pathways of Care using a variety of digital authoring and learning platforms. The specialist will also provide technical support to BHP partners to set up digital NCD pages in their existing websites and in delivering training courses on their Local Management System (LMS).
Key Responsibilities
Develop and design e-Learning content and learning materials, coordinate with module sources and authors, and include current technology in developing specific e-Learning training courses.
Create an online classroom, modules, and registration page and necessary micro-segments relevant to each health cadre.
When applicable, utilize knowledge and monitoring tools for LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic end-user experience.
Provide technical advice and training on the use of various e-Learning software, i.e., authoring tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, iSpring, and LMS such as Moodle, Canvas, and using Zoom and OBLE for virtual instruction.
Education/Required Job Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, training, adult education, and/or multimedia training materials development.
At least 5 years of experience in website development and maintenance
At least 3 years of experience with HTML and audio and video editing software
Experience with a Learning Management System as a developer or administrator (preferred)
Ability to manage time efficiently, to effectively handle multiple tasks and competing priorities, as well as meet deadlines
Provide previous multimedia sample work
Skills
At least 5 years of experience in website development and maintenance
At least 3 years of experience with HTML and audio and video editing software
Experience with a Learning Management System as a developer or administrator (preferred)
Ability to manage time efficiently, to effectively handle multiple tasks and competing priorities, as well as meet deadlines
