We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team. For you to be the perfect fit, you have B2B experience and knowledge of the commercial construction industry trends. You stay up-to-date on eCommerce best practices, especially when it comes to:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1) Technical Data Management
Structure and manage content and documentation for Product/Brand information for the Sales, Merchandising and Marketing teams to easily leverage.
Possess intermediate excel skills which include VLOOKUP, and other functions to work with bulk skus in excess of 10,000 lines of product at any given time.
Ability to implement feature prioritization and road map planning
You are always watching for new products to add, and you understand the process of how to choose products based on quality, price, margins, and alignment with the brand.
Thorough in gathering all specifications and documenting technical information.
You also have experience creating SKUs, determining weights and dimensions, and are proactive and resourceful when vendors are delayed in answering questions or providing information.
Complete weekly and monthly range reviews of the product range and suggest opportunities to improve product/category performance
Ensure data trackers (sales, customer behaviour information) are kept up to date
Update product reviews, ensuring the latest customer feedback is displayed to customers
2) Business Strategy Execution
Conducts market assessments (online, Amazon, eBay, other marketplaces etc)
Seek out and identify new vendors we should partner with.
Identify customer and business needs and emerging trends that we need to support with a product and vendor strategy
Work to get newly identified vendors set-up in BigCommerce system
Lead vendor development efforts in key areas that we need to build capability
Communicate and update internal teams on new vendors / products and their capabilities as needed
Shape custom product strategies and work to develop supply chain capabilities in realm of custom and specialty products
Support new business development as required providing SME level knowledge of eCommerce industry
Understand and identify opportunities for product up-sell and cross-sell
Skills to have:
Strong self-starting skills - effectively manage a new/evolving organizational function.
Strong research skills.
Strong internal and external communication skills.
Strong time management skills - manage to tight deadlines with conflicting priorities and enable team to do the same.
Resourceful, innovative, and capable in thinking outside of the box
The ability to do a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats)

Ability to provide clear and concise direction.

Experience required:
3+ years' e-commerce experience preferable in a product coordinator/specialist role
Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, SearchSpring, Ahrefs, etc.)
Experience with Content Management Systems and merchandising tools- you will be hands-on with our website (BigCommerce, Zoho, Trello, etc.)
Experience with forecasting at both a sales and product level
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus
Experience with platforms and tools including or similar to BigCommerce, Web Dav is a plus
