As we are in scale up phase, the role priorities evolve over time. IN THE NOW, THE EXPECTED WORK OF THE ROLE REQUIRES THE FF: A. STRATEGIC PART OF THE JOB: - Developing the local marketplace strategy and approach to scale up design : area selection, partner selection criteria, coverage strategy. - Application of DT fundamentals in defining target stores and setting targets on sales, frequency, lines, active stores, etc. - Development of field force and appointed seller structure. - Business case development, appointed seller negotiations, capacity review & performance management. - Developing the demand generation framework to unlock the desired customer behaviors. B. EXECUTION PART OF THE JOB - Appointed seller/field force set up: contracting, supervision of personnel, management of budgets & billings, planning of all costs and infrastructure required. - Field force training, execution of
recruitment, retention & basket building strategies. - Handle customer care operations. - Ensure that the action standards are met and measure the input KPIs, and course correct to close gaps. - Handle the scale up operations in the selected territories, similar to how DT managers do their roles. - Set up daily, weekly & monthly cadence with appointed seller and internal teams on performance reporting and monitoring. - Ensure seamless ways of working between field force teams, customer care teams &
supply chain team. - Put in place the necessary sales operations infrastructure in place to support the scale up model. - Define glidepath to reach target store count, AOV, recruitment & retention numbers combining the field force plans with the 6P plan. DIRECT REPORTS Will have the trade/customer
marketing manager, customer care and field execution manager reporting to him/her. Relevant Skills and Experience for the Role At least 4-5 years' experience in DT Channel management, Field operations and trade/customer marketing in FMCG/ telco setting. Has the leadership ability to build and handle teams, and deliver targets thru people, processes, and partnerships. Must have analytic skills and translate insights from data into actionable plans Knowledge in e-commerce B2B is a big plus. Openness to learn new technology platforms and act with agility and speed.
