General Accountability:
Global ETS Info Protection Services provides operationalized risk and security services to the Manulife enterprise. The Associate Support Analyst -
Reports to the DLP Asia Lead and is responsible for executing the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) service.
Will help drive execution to facilitate the identification, assessment, escalation, and mitigation of Manulife DLP and to continuously evaluate and improve the control environment
Will help ensure that the service is effectively integrated at the Segment and Business Unit-level, that the needs and requirements of all relevant stakeholders (Compliance, Risk, Legal, HR, etc.) are met
Is responsible for the delivery of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) service in Asia. The incumbent will serve as a data driven Subject Matter Expert on Data Loss Prevention functions related to the service
Will provide detailed Segmental / Business Unit focused analysis of alerts generated by all DLP systems
Key DLP Business Analyst duties will include -
Analyzing DLP alerts generated by various DLP tools to create actionable data in support of the Segments / Business Units DLP remediation efforts
Reporting and presenting actionable DLP data to Segments / Business Units
Escalating DLP alerts that meet agreed thresholds to Segments/Business Units via Snow SIR escalation process in a timely fashion
Supporting BAU and ad-hoc management report requests
Managing and reporting of ticket flow through Service Now (REQ, INC, SIR, CH)
Providing support in maximizing DLP tools and platforms by assisting with ad-hoc and BAU data entry, research and analysis
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education -
Required:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical discipline
Experience using Service Now or other IT Service Management software
Data analytical skills and tool use, such as Microsoft Excel up to VLOOKUP
Strong, demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Tact and clear verbal and written communication skills are necessary to facilitate solutions and resolve problems.
Highly detail-oriented individual with exceptional organization skills, including ability to work independently or as part of multiple teams.
Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment in assessing business issues and risks in a dynamic environment.
Ability to present and explain accurate, organized, and concise data to all levels of the organization
Preferred:
Experience implementing DLP technologies and enhancing processes
Experience with SQL and VBA
Security software or internal IT audit experience
Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in Information Security or Information Risk management
Problems/Challenges:
The role and context for these responsibilities are complex and dynamic in terms of program and process management within a global enterprise, changing technology and emerging threats and risks. Specifically, the context includes:
Unpredictable threats and associated changing risks;
The needs of non-technical stakeholders, e.g. both internal end-users and customers/clients with more direct access to electronic information and financial services; and
Disparate infrastructure not necessarily controlled to the same standards and within a de-centralized IT environment.
DLP Intermediate Support Analyst daily tasks and activities are of an advanced, non-routine nature, and must be performed with limited supervision
The incumbent will be required to continuously assist with:
Ensuring the needs of a global, decentralized, complex organization are met and that the key stakeholders continue to be supportive of the ETS Info Protection Services mission.
Managing changes in operational and project priorities and the classification of risk and negotiating the fact that workloads and project involvement cannot always be reliably planned or predicted.
Ensuring that operational, evaluation and assessment processes and tools are current and meet emerging threats, changing risks and predictable business needs.
Position Dimensions (Organizational Impact):
Collaborates closely with the Security, Risk and Compliance Officers of the Segments and must be able to exhibit strong influencing skills to be able to work with the teams implementing consistent tools and processes for achieving security policies. Any DLP issue not properly resolved could compromise the Company's security operations.
