The Role & Responsibilities:
Breadth of Responsibility:
The Director of Engineering serves as a key leader on the Global Accounts Receivable Platform team. This role includes a blend of Cloud based microservice platform development, technology strategy, mainframe platform development, and executive communications and people leadership. This individual will lead a team of engineers in a way that inspires each team member to do their best work and continue to grow and develop within the company while playing a critical role partnering with stakeholders and users to help drive customer-first product roadmap enabling business outcomes.
Other Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product & technology leaders, scrum masters, product managers and engineers focused on our transformational journey to come up and deliver technology-powered solutions that our customers love and that work for our business;
Role model the culture of enterprise thinking by helping to develop the best agile practices, and bringing your partners and colleagues with you;
Hire, mentor, and develop to maintain an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, retention of key employees, development, and high performance;
Provide thought leadership in both technical excellence and management excellence, balancing the needs of technology, business, customers, and employees, plus best practices and new/emerging concepts;
Contribute to the review and analysis of business needs and user stories.

Minimum Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
At least 10+ years of experience in software engineering
At least 3+ years of experience in a people-leadership capacity with large distributed teams in a dynamic environment;
Strong understanding of the Software Development practices, Agile/SCRUM, Pair Programming;
Accountability and decision-making skills;
Analytical and methodological prowess;
Ability to handle pressure;
Excellence at understanding competing priorities;
Ability to inspire and influence team members to achieve goals;
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related discipline/area (Highly Advantageous)
Work From Home Requirements:
Must have at least 25 MBPS internet connection plan / speed
Must have a private & quiet area to work at home
Must be amenable to work in Taguig once community quarantine measures are lifted
