How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express entered the travel agency business more than 100 years ago (1915), and today it is one of the world's largest luxury travel and lifestyle service networks. The Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides differentiated value, extraordinary service, and unrivaled expertise to Card Members seeking leisure or business travel, as well as a variety of lifestyle/concierge services.
The Network Strategy & Configuration team is part of a global organization that shapes the future of TLS by identifying customer servicing strategies that contribute to the configuration & transformation of the TLS servicing model. The team is looking for a Director, Network Strategy to lead small & large-scale programs of servicing & configuration business transformations across critical global markets delivering a significantly improved customer experience for our card products whilst also improving operational efficiency. In addition, the successful individual will also be maximizing the TLS Global Footprint & data driven analytics to develop and identify new opportunities to support servicing & capabilities improvements across the TLS organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end the of migration program and the processes from TLS global markets in the US, LACC, Europe and Asia
Provide strategic program structure and support key configuration & transformational initiatives partnering with multiple stakeholders including Finance, Operations, Workforce Planning, Compliance, Real Estate, Capabilities, and Technology
Communicate regular updates to the leadership team by proactively identifying, tracking, and resolving issues, facilitating decision-making, and identifying cross-workstream dependencies and post-implementation reviews
Ensure all implemented projects are in accordance with compliance and control guidelines
Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and network efficiency by leveraging the current footprint and global expertise to its full potential
Partner across leadership teams to develop mid-term and long-term strategies to optimize TLS' servicing model and achieve competitive advantage through superior customer value
Maintain regular interaction with senior executives on program progress, risks, and issues to facilitate decision making
Influence business partners, leadership, and key stakeholders to achieve appropriate standardization of key TLS processes across all regions
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in large-scale program management experience including migration of processes across locations and/or business units
Solid track record of delivering global and/or regional projects from inception to completion
Organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to prioritize appropriately and manage several deliverables at once
Proven work experience in delivery across aggressive timelines
Analytical skills with knowledge of key operational metrics and servicing strategies experience to interpret data, transform it into strategies, and change or challenge status quo
Strong ability to build and leverage relationships with our stakeholders, while influencing program partners effectively
Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate roadblocks and, utilize Change Management principles to drive results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with clear and confident communication style in engaging with senior executives to garner credibility and sponsorship
Strong financial acumen, preferably related to service delivery decisions.
Ability to work on a global scale and work out of hours as needed as this is a global role
High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

People-leader/people-management experience
