Wells Fargo is seeking a SVP - Insights & Intelligence - Consumer & Small Business Banking * Technology has challenged traditional ways of working, reshaping organizations by making processes highly integrated and streamlined.
Embracing change, Wells Fargo wishes to onboard an experienced strategy professional to aid business growth and development opportunities, build strategic partnerships, promote synergies across Coe's and deliver high-impact / transformational projects.
This is a newly created role with the purpose to innovate and reimagine existing operational delivery of Consumer Banking and Small Business Banking division (CSBB); re-engineered via Innovation.
The role has been created with the clear mission to prepare the India & Philippines centers for the next level of delivery driven by innovation, best practices, automation, and change execution to create a positive impact to global business.
In this critical role, the incumbent will drive strategic initiatives that will combine cutting-edge technology solutions/ digitization and knowledge of operational best practices, driving value through product improvements, automation, modernization, customer service and growth of CSBB business.
The successful incumbent will be a strong contributor to Wells Fargo's "Think Tank".
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, Design and Develop Transformation Strategy * Diagnose the current state of the operations function for CSSB
Design, Develop and Execute the transformation strategy for the business across India and Philippines (I&P) & build the best-in-class teams leveraging fintech, data sciences, analytics, RPA, operational excellence, location strategy & digital transformation
Identify, develop and implement various change/transformation initiatives to support the global CSBB franchise - Develop well-defined long term and short-term initiatives, from concept to implementation, specify objectives for achieving the set targets and enhance operational delivery
Apply a structured methodology and lead change management process and tools to create a plan to support adoption of the changes required by a process, project or initiative
Direct, coordinate, and oversee various operational activities related to feasibility, business case, solution design and transition, and ensure development and implementation of efficient processes and cost-effective systems to meet needs of the GIC
Process Automation and Change Management * Create roadmap for automating processes/ functions as well as clearly articulate specific goals of various change and optimization projects for their organizational and swifter turnaround time across identified processes
Simplify and speedup client onboarding, improve customer service levels and better address business requirements
Institutionalize parameters to measure improvement and impact of the initiatives on a periodic basis - daily, weekly, monthly, yearly
Business Operational Excellence * Drive adoption of best-in-class processes, develop target operational excellence metrics in line with goals
Drive transformation oriented towards complementing existing capabilities, developing new products, experience and create tailored solutions
Lead projects and ensure consistent support to the business team. Develop execution strategies with specific objectives for achieving the set targets
Pursue operational excellence by adopting a mindset of problem solving, teamwork, and top-line growth to create more value for customers
Capability Building and Business Development * Scan the market, stay abreast with trends and market developments to identify / evaluate new business opportunities for the business
Provide insight into Business Analysis, Process, Strategy & Transformation, and Digital Innovation toward the pursuit of business excellence
Generate ideas, approaches and aid building of new capabilities for the business group
Develop strategies to identify and acquire new clients and business opportunities to drive growth and profitability
Align business development processes and procedures with firm's strategic business goals globally
Business Monitoring and Review * Participate in business review meets to understand firm's future direction, business imperatives, performance, success strategy, growth opportunities and other factors
Business Monitoring and Review (Contd.) * Monitor projects, models in action and frameworks deployed by individual businesses to achieve business targets
Periodically assess alignment of WF India & Philippines' efforts, performance, initiatives etc. with overall group's vision & strategy by monitoring and providing inputs/ critiquing their strategies
Identify bottlenecks in Consumer & Small Business Banking business and deploy measures to address the challenges and bring in efficiencies
Be in sync with the strategic partnership projects, technological & business development efforts undertaken at the group level
Accelerate Business Growth * Identify, prioritize, and advance opportunities that drive growth of the business
Rally organizational support for growth priorities and looking for opportunities to exploit synergies for new business initiatives
Stakeholder and Team Management * Work closely with various global and internal teams including technology, operations and business to ideate on cost-effective operational solutions enabling faster turn-around in line with organizational strategy
Present recommendations to Executive Leadership group detailing the benefits and associated risks
Stakeholder and Team Management (Contd.) * Ensure communication of plan with Business stakeholders to gain their commitment and buy in, as needed
Define the budget and resource requirements for the proposed change/ transformation efforts to stakeholders involved
Provide guidance, support and coaching to executives to use best practices for more effective and efficient business operations
Collaborate closely with different departments, functions and business leaders to craft firm wide goals and growth targets and monitor their progress
Build and manage quality relationships in the ecosystem. Collaborate with other divisions and departments
Professional Experience & Qualifications
This is a newly created role and an extremely critical appointment. The role holder will be a dynamic leader who will drive and lead strategic transformation and efficiency across Consumer & Small Business Banking Business. S/he should therefore bring: * 18-25 years of experience with emphasis on strategy, automation, technology, business transformation & operations in Strategy Consulting/ BFSI (preferably in the offshoring space). Exposure to US Financial Markets in GCC would be an additional advantage
Exposure to strategy, business enablement, operations, business management and project management across Banking and Financial Services, preferably Consumer & Small Business Banking
Self-motivated & result oriented with ability to critically attack current business processes and challenge the status quo
Ability to observe business, understand pain-points and break-through legacy systems and processes. Recommend innovative & transformation solutions with strong ROI
Quantifiable track record of implementing best in class high impact initiatives
Track record of leading the development and implementation of world-class standards in operational excellence, with best practice change management & critical process reengineering experience
Demonstrated experience in following an innovative and business centric approach
Management & leadership capabilities:
Strong stakeholder relationship management skills - ability to influence and manage expectations of senior executives while ensuring deliverables
Maturity to build relationships across the organization; Comfort with a matrixed environment * Stays on top of local and global trends and has a knack for identifying opportunities for automation
Excellent verbal & written communication skills, good presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills
Ability to engage with the global stakeholders and senior management
Team worker, proven leader and manager, able to generate trust and inspire teams
Good staff skills - able to coach and mentor staff
Hands-on leader, ability to roll up sleeves to get things done
Education * Post-graduation (MBA or similar) from reputed institutes.
Other professional qualifications or accreditation with relevant practical usage, will be an added advantage
