We are looking to recruit a DevOps Engineer on our engineering team whose prime responsibility is to maintain and improve our current tech stack and processes as well as working together with developers to ensure reliability and scalability of the platform. You will get to work with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, Jenkins, MongoDB, Firebase, Elasticsearch and AWS. These technologies will most likely change in the future, and you would be part of figuring out which technology to bring in next.
Anino Inc. (formerly Anino Playlab, Anino Games, Inc.) is the first and leading game developer in the Philippines with more than 60 games under its belt since it started in 2002.
A multi-awarded studio and a pioneer in the Philippines, they have successfully worked as a 3rd party developer with top-tier publishers such as Electronic Arts, Activision, Namco, Game House, Disney and Big Fish Games among others. Anino merged with Pocket PlayLab in 2014 to realize its vision of being the number 1 game studio in Southeast Asia. In 2017, it broke out as an independent studio under Thomas Andreasen, focusing on expanding its Mobile Social Casino title.
Today, the studio continues to develop a range of Social Casino Slots for mobile and desktop platforms. It is composed of a team of 30+ mobile games enthusiasts who are dedicated, fun-loving and hard-working people who thrive to be competing on a global scale.
What you would be doing:
Manage Anino's cloud to ensure high availability of our services at optimal costs.
Keep cloud software up to date.
Ensure industry security standards are followed.
Implement app monitoring and log collection tools.
Research new services that can provide better efficiency for game features.
Collaborate with developers in developing game features that require cloud services.
Manage the CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins and CircleCI.
Assist the team in investigating connection and latency issues.
Create reports on cloud services and tech stack when requested by other companies like Meta/Facebook.
About you:
Extensive experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Knows how to manage Kubernetes using kops similar tools such as Amazon EKS
Experience with AWS or any other similar cloud services such as GCP or Azure
Experience in MongoDB or any similar document-oriented based database
Has worked with Firebase or any similar PaaS technology
Experience in creating and managing an automated CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins or CircleCI
Knows how to use APM tools to monitor deployments
Understanding of versioning tools such as Git
Can write clean and easy to understand documentation
Experience with Open Source contributions is a plus
Experience with managing and maintain an Elasticsearch cluster is a plus
Experience with using Cloudflare with AWS S3 buckets is a plus.
Communicate well in English, both spoken and written
Takes the initiative and is up to date on the latest developments in tech
