Key Roles of the Design Manager as follows, but not limited to:
Attend Design Workshops
Review of Concept, Schematic & Design Drawings
Review Construction Drawings for compliance
Review Scope Gaps
Review Interfacing Details and potential Clashes
Review of Sample Boards, and Mock-ups and Compliance to Design requirements
Design Coordination
Shopdrawing Reviews
Factory Inspection
Site Inspections
Design Deliverable Trackers
Approval Trackers
Take lead in meetings on Design related matters
Active coordination with the Project Managers, Contractors, Consultants and Landlord
Daily walkovers and for QA/QC requirements
Related commercial reviews and decision making
Report to the Project Director on any genuine concerns
Understanding on Local Code requirements
Raising of Non-Conformance Reports (NRC)
Any other related duties that is reasonable required for the effective performance of the Design Manager Role
Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
An authority in creative design
The ideal candidate has a degree in interior design, architecture or related field, and at least 15 years' experience in workplace or corporate interior projects, either consultancy or design and build.
Likewise, we're looking for someone knowledgeable in various software including AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite
