Job Summary
Carrying out the duties of the design engineering team, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, process improvement, required standards of quality, cost, timing delivery and safety. Evaluate submittals of the outsourced engineering design consultants and ensure meeting industry standards and company's business position. Prepare tender and contract documents for engineering design and manage engineering consultants.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan; direct and manage work by the outsourced engineering design consultants and ensure that submittals and deliverable are submitted within the specified and agreed time frame.
Ensure components and assemblies of the submitted design by consultants are complete and adhere to applicable industry and business standards and also in consideration with company's business position and within budget.
Initiate, develop and implement creative + innovative best practice engineering strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
Organized and maintain existing engineering records.
Construct prototypes and confirm designs with DMG and Business groups.
Overall responsibility for engineering activities across the Business groups.
Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes as needed.
Qualifications
Must be a Civil Engineer
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in structural design of residential housing, mid-rise building and land development - earthworks, road concreting storm drainage, waterline distribution system, bridge + concrete box culvert, slope protection + perimeter fence.
A dedicated team player with strong interpersonal communications skills both oral and written.
Have knowledge in new technologies for housing. Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workloads and accomplish deliverables.
Advanced level proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel.
Experienced in site supervision and managing design consultants.
