Job Description
Site Assessment
1. Conducts site inspections in line with client's schedule.
2. Provides a thorough analysis for design preparation and final design upon client's acceptance.
Solar PV System Design
3. Engineers and designs solar systems to meet client requirements, standards and codes.
4. Performs computer simulation of solar photovoltaic generation performance using tools such as PVSYST and Helioscope to estimate energy production and optimize efficiency.
5. Performs equipment selection and prepares Bill of Materials to ensure compliance with standards and codes, such as Philippine Electrical Code and Philippine Building Code.
6. Prepares necessary drawings for proposal of PV system - PV Layout, Electrical Diagram, AC and DC Load Schedule .
7. Prepares singleline diagrams and site plan and other installation documents to be submitted to Philippine Economic Zone Authority of Local Government Unit, and Distribution Utility for permitting.
Financials
8. Prepares initial files/documents/data needed for the Project Costing.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
Licensed Civil Engineer
At least 2 to 3 years of actual solar energy engineering design and costing
Proficient in Excel, Word, Sketchup, AutoCAD, PVSYST, Helioscope, and similar rendering software
Personal Attributes
1. Good communication & interpersonal skills
2. Enthusiasm for learning, keeps self up to date on new technologies & latest standards
3. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design
4. Meticulous, with high attention to quality and detail
5. Willing to do site inspections (roof and ground)
6. Organized & manages time well
